Steven Magnusson's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts. Steve has defended clients in antitrust litigation involving allegations of collusion and unfair business practices, and he has diverse experience across various industries involving contractual disputes, bankruptcy, government investigations, financial products, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and intellectual property litigation.
Steve is also actively involved in pro bono matters. He has assisted clients in submitting petitions for asylum and other immigration-related applications, petitioning for custody and child support, advocating for prisoners' constitutional rights, and filing an amicus brief in the New York Court of Appeals on behalf of several New York City charter schools.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Steve worked for the Massachusetts Office of the Bar Counsel, where he assisted with investigations into attorney misconduct and was certified as a forensic computer examiner.
