Michael McCune joined Jones Day upon completion of a clerkship at the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He represents clients in complex contract and tort disputes in state and federal courts.
Michael has been a member of teams defending a multinational food chain against claims related to an alleged workplace sexual assault, defending a religious nonprofit from breach of fiduciary duty claims, and defending an online and mobile food ordering platform against breach of contract claims.
In the labor arbitration context, Michael authored the post-hearing brief on behalf of an employer that prevailed in a grievance over whether employees who joined the company via the acquisition of a competitor were eligible to participate in the acquiring company's pension plan.
Michael has additional experience in a broad range of areas including whistleblower retaliation, insurance recovery, and defamation.
