Emily Migliore represents clients in complex litigation matters. Her experience ranges from playing a key role in multiple internal investigations (conducted in both English and Spanish) to serving as lead counsel on several cases in federal court.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2021, Em worked at a global law firm as a corporate associate, where she represented a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) in a de-SPAC transaction, a privately held alternative asset management firm in its purchase of membership interest in a publicly traded company, and a Latin American holding company in its acquisition of a Fortune 500 company's subsidiary business unit. Her M&A background equips her with a nuanced understanding of transactional law that makes her an indispensable asset on commercial litigation matters.

In law school, Em interned at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Boston, where she worked extensively on the "Operation Varsity Blues" case, the nationwide investigation of corruption in college admissions. She also aided in preparation for sentencing hearings and legal research on the scope of certain federal fraud statutes.

Em is committed to pro bono work, particularly advocacy for immigrants. Between her work in the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinic and her time as a practicing lawyer, she has won countless asylum and U visa cases for clients. Her research on issues affecting immigrants has been published in academic outlets, both nationally and globally.
