Dan Matheny represents privately held companies, with a focus on representing private equity funds and their portfolio companies. Dan has experience in a variety of deal structures, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, equity financings, restructurings, and other strategic transactions. His experience also includes representing public corporations in various transactions and providing counsel on corporate governance issues.
Some of the clients Dan has represented include Blue Sea Capital, Cardinal Health, Greystar Growth and Income Fund, Inova Medical Group, MPE Partners, Nationwide Realty Investors, Ohio Living, Ohio Transmission Corporation, Peterson Partners, and The Riverside Company.
Shortly after graduating from law school, Dan was a Fellow in the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) law program. This is an intensive two-week program where fellows study historical, philosophical, theological, and cultural texts related to Nazism and the Holocaust in which the historical context frames the discussion of contemporary legal and ethical issues.
