Anna Masser's practice focuses on international arbitration. She advises and represents clients in all phases of disputes related to corporate law, distribution, licensing, post M&A, reinsurance, and energy, specifically the gas sector. She also conducts litigation and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings. From 2017 to 2019, Anna was recognized as one of the most highly regarded individuals in Who's Who Legal: Arbitration — Future Leaders, where clients say she is an "excellent lawyer with great fighting skills and a real team player."
Anna acts as counsel in international arbitration proceedings, both ad hoc and under institutional rules, and is regularly appointed as an arbitrator. In addition, she advises clients on arbitration-related award recognition and enforcement matters in Switzerland and Germany. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2016, Anna worked for international law firms in Switzerland for seven years. She continues to represent parties before Swiss courts.
Anna is a member of the Global Advisory Board of ICDR Y&I, serving a three-year term, and is a member of several other associations, including the German Arbitration Institution (DIS, former co-chair of DIS40), the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), the LCIA's Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG), Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners (YAAP), and Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration (Young ICCA). She is a frequent speaker at conferences on international arbitration and author of several dispute-related publications.
