Amanda Leckman represents clients in patent and trade secret litigation matters. She assists litigation teams with discovery, deposition preparation, and creation of infringement and invalidity claim charts. Amanda is experienced in matters related to standard-essential patents (SEPs), including patents related to the 3GPP/ETSI standards for UMTS and LTE mobile communications. She has experience conducting prior art searches, performing freedom to operate analyses, and identifying trade secrets.
Amanda is a registered patent agent. She prosecutes patent applications in the United States as well as in foreign jurisdictions in the areas of machine learning, medical devices, solar technology, file and database management software, natural language processing, electromagnetic simulation software, semiconductor devices and manufacturing, networking, and secure communications.
Amanda has 14 years of industry experience as an electrical engineer in RF and digital electronics design and testing and systems integration and testing. She worked for seven years at Qualcomm troubleshooting wireless communication systems, integrating test automation frameworks, and developing scripts in MATLAB, Python, and TCL to process test results. Before Qualcomm, Amanda worked at Raytheon for seven years on airborne and ground-based radar programs. During this time she gained experience in performing radar simulations and writing tools in MATLAB to analyze simulation data.
