Mattie Kim represents corporate clients in complex business disputes. Mattie is experienced in a variety of commercial litigation matters and often represents policyholders in pursuing insurance claims and in insurance recovery disputes. She has been involved in complex insurance coverage claims relating to various types of coverage, including commercial general liability, property, representations and warranties, and directors and officers liability insurance. She has experience in many aspects of litigation, including case management, discovery, briefing and motion practice, and trial preparation. In addition, she has experience in transactional M&A and private equity insurance placements.
Mattie also maintains an active pro bono practice and represents low-income tenants in eviction proceedings, repair actions, and eviction expungement motions. As lead trial counsel, Mattie successfully secured a housing repair order and rent abatement for a tenant in Minneapolis. She has achieved numerous positive results for tenants through pretrial negotiation and settlement.
