Libby Kitslaar has been the principal lawyer in a wide variety of U.S. and international M&A and corporate transactions, including complex acquisitions and divestitures, carve-outs, restructurings, public offerings, and joint ventures. In addition to transactional work, she advises boards of directors, special committees, and investors on a broad range of corporate governance and compliance matters, including securities, fiduciary duty, takeover, and disclosure requirements.

Libby's representations include global and complex acquisitions, including representing Abbott Laboratories on its $6.9 billion acquisition of BASF's worldwide pharmaceutical business and its $2.8 billion cash tender offer for Advanced Medical Optics; Veolia on the $1.9 billion divestiture of its U.S. solid waste business; Norbert Dentressangle, S.A. on its $750 million acquisition of Jacobson Companies; Bridgestone Corporation on its $1.05 billion merger with Bandag; Galileo International on its $3.2 billion merger with Cendant Corporation; Rykoff-Sexton on its $1.4 billion merger with JP Foodservice; and JohnsonDiversey on its $1.6 billion acquisition of Unilever's worldwide institutional cleaning business. She has particular experience working with clients in the pharma, specialty chemical, logistics, water and waste management, cannabis, and publishing businesses.

Libby repeatedly has been recognized as a leading lawyer by numerous industry publications, including Chambers USA, where she has been described as an "outstanding negotiator" providing "practical commercial advice" and "easy to do business with." In both 2012 and 2015, BTI Consulting Group named her a "Client Service All Star" for providing outstanding client service.
