Yang Jiao focuses on resolving patent issues in association with pharmaceutical and biotechnology matters. She utilizes her scientific background in chemistry and biology to assist clients in patent prosecution and patent drafting. She advises clients on patent filing strategy in China and on due diligence matters, including evaluating patent validity, analyzing invention patentability, assessing infringement risk, and conducting freedom-to-operate analysis.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Yang worked at an intellectual property firm in Singapore, where she gained extensive experience in patent searches, patent drafting, and worldwide patent prosecution.
