Chris Johnson represents and counsels corporate clients in complex commercial litigation and internal investigations. He has experience with fact development and investigation, managing discovery, motion practice, appellate briefing, and settlement negotiations.
Chris maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented individuals seeking asylum in U.S. immigration courts, relief in state habeas proceedings, and expungement of their criminal records.
Before joining Jones Day, Chris served as a law clerk on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, where he gained significant legal research and writing experience.
Prior to attending law school, Chris worked in the oil and gas industry as a petroleum engineer.
