Yusuke Hanada practices in the areas of Japanese and international litigation and arbitration and general corporate law. In particular he has experience with a wide variety of court proceedings such as labor and employment disputes (including labor tribunal proceedings [rodo shinpan]), insolvency matters, product liability litigation, petitions for setting aside arbitral awards, and tort litigation. He also has extensive experience in reviewing and drafting various business contracts and advises clients in a broad variety of corporate law matters. Yusuke works with clients in Japanese and English.

In one of the lawsuits in which he successfully defended a client, the court's decision was published as a precedent in the Harei Times, a widely read Japanese legal journal (1430 Hanrei Times 233).

From 2015 to 2016, utilizing his knowledge and experience in litigation and arbitration, Yusuke coauthored a series of articles entitled "How to Choose Dispute Resolution Procedures — Practical Factors Taken into Account When Choosing Litigation or Arbitration" in a Japanese publication (New Business Law, Nos. 1052, 1054, 1058, 1062, and 1069 (Shoji Homu)).

Yusuke is a member of Keiei Hoso Kaigi (Management Lawyers Council).

UPL acquires Arysta LifeScience from Platform Specialty Products Corporation for $4.2 billion

Jones Day advised ANSYS, Inc., the global leader and innovator of engineering simulation software, on its acquisition of OPTIS, a premier provider of software for scientific simulation of light, human vision, and physics-based visualization.

GE Digital acquires IQP Corporation
Jones Day advised GE Digital in its acquisition of IQP Corporation, a start-up operating in Israel, Japan, and the U.S. that provides a no-code or low-code IoT app builder, with a visual interface available on mobile, tablet, and PC, includes data apps, and is installable on public cloud, private cloud, and on premise.

Cardinal Health acquires leading patient product portfolio from Medtronic for $6.1 billion
Jones Day advised Cardinal Health on the acquisition of Medtronic's Patient Care, Deep Vein Thrombosis and Nutritional Insufficiency businesses for $6.1 billion in cash.

Cardinal Health acquires Cordis for $1.9 billion
Jones Day advised Cardinal Health, Inc. in its acquisition of Johnson & Johnson's Cordis business, a leading global manufacturer of cardiology and endovascular devices, for $1.9 billion in cash.

TonenGeneral Sekiyu acquires Mitsui & Co.'s 89.93 percent interest in Mitsui Oil for JPY24.9 billion (US$241.3 million)
