Masayuki Horiike has experience advising multinational companies and private equity funds in a range of transactions, including domestic and cross-border M&A, investments, and joint ventures.

Masayuki's experience includes working in Jones Day's Silicon Valley Office where he advised clients on U.S. domestic M&A transactions, including acquisitions of and investments in start-ups, and he continues to advise Japanese companies on outbound M&A and investments.

In addition, Masayuki represents international companies and private equity funds in investments and acquisitions in Japan in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, energy, and real estate. He advises clients on general corporate, employment, and international cartel investigations matters as well and has experience conducting cross-border internal investigations.

During a two-year secondment to the legal department of a major international medical device company, Masayuki provided advice on the establishment of B2C e-commerce and on medical industry regulations related to the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Law, Medical Practitioners Law, Fair Competition Code, and Personal Information Protection Law.
