Sumer Ghazzawi has experience in a wide range of Saudi corporate and commercial matters. She has advised on foreign investment in Saudi Arabia, corporate restructurings, and joint ventures (including M&A). In addition, she advises clients on Saudi Sharia law and regulation and on corporate compliance and requirements with Saudi regulations and provides legal advice regarding the entity structures for different commercial and professional companies in the pre-incorporation phase.
Sumer has advised clients on general corporate matters, company law, corporate governance, and labor law issues. She has drafted articles of association and other constitutional documents; drafted and amended joint venture agreements; drafted shareholder, SPAs (sales and purchase), MOU (memorandum of understanding), and partner resolution agreements; and drafted POA (power of attorney) documents.
She also has advised foreign investors on the formation of their presence in Saudi Arabia, including obtaining foreign investment licenses and other regulatory licenses, and has participated in the incorporation of multinational industrial companies in Saudi Arabia.
Sumer has served as an ambassador of organ donation awareness with One Legacy of Orange County, California and is the co-founder of the organ transplant support group and a volunteer public speaker for organ donation awareness with the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation.
