Rodolfo Giles has more than 10 years of experience counseling domestic and international clients in all types of matters related to Mexican labor and employment law.

Rodolfo has experience advising on complex litigation in labor courts, reorganizations, restructurings, dismissals based on disciplinary and operative grounds, high-impact labor claims (PTU), collective negotiations, incentive schemes, severance terminations, labor policies, internal work rules, and labor compliance for new and existing companies. He also represents clients in negotiating and drafting agreements for senior management, including senior executive contracts and separation agreements.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2018, Rodolfo was a divisional manager in the labor and employment department of a multinational retailer in Mexico City. During this time he handled management relations with unions and external law firms, was in-house counsel in charge of management and supervision of thousands of labor claims filed throughout Mexico, and counseled the HR department in cases related to labor matters.

Rodolfo also practiced at an international law firm in Mexico City where he participated in representing companies against claims for profit sharing entitlement; labor, health, and safety compliance due diligence matters; cases concerning unfair dismissals, discrimination, and wage and hour issues; and the merger of a major North American airline.
