Maureen Gallagher focuses her practice on the representation of health care and life sciences companies. She has represented hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, physician groups, established and emerging digital health companies, and other health care-related entities.
Maureen has counseled clients on regulatory and compliance issues, including federal and state anti-kickback statutes, licensure, and state corporate practice of medicine doctrines. She has defended health care clients in investigations and litigation relating to the False Claims Act, the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, and the Stark Law brought by federal agencies and qui tam whistleblowers. She has also provided strategic counsel and health care regulatory advice to direct-to-consumer telemedicine and technology companies.
Prior to starting law school, Maureen worked as an analyst for Citi Private Bank in Houston.
