Arun Goel's practice is focused on advising life science and technology clients on their strategic IP investments, transactions, and related issues. He has represented some of the world's largest technology companies on significant IP matters involving hand-held devices, wireless networking, and semiconductors. Arun also has advised several leading companies in the medical device and surgical fields on their IP settlement agreements, supply and distribution agreements, assignments, patent licenses, and patent monetization programs.
Arun has nearly a decade of experience litigating IP issues in a wide variety of forums including the United States International Trade Commission, U.S. District Courts, the Patent Trademark and Appeal Board, and various arbitration panels. Arun began his legal career as an associate at an international law firm in Silicon Valley where he litigated infringement and licensing matters and provided IP diligence support for large transactions.
Prior to attending law school, Arun was a patent analyst for a patent services firm where he conducted patentability, validity, landscape, and freedom to operate studies. In addition, he was a student researcher for the chair of pharmacology at Vanderbilt University.
