Alexandra Guillaume's practice focuses on all aspects of EU competition law, including merger control, anticompetitive agreements, cartels, and abuse of dominance.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2020, Alexandra completed traineeships at the Directorate-General (DG) for Competition of the European Commission and in the Brussels offices of leading international law firms.

Experience

  • Eastman sells tire additives business product lines to One Rock Capital PartnersJones Day advised Eastman Chemical in the $800 million sale of the rubber additives (including Crystex™ insoluble sulfur and Santoflex™ antidegradants) and other product lines and related assets and technology of the global tire additives business of its Additives &a Functional Products segment to an affiliate of One Rock Capital Partners, LLC.
  • Bombardier sells transportation business to Alstom for €6.2 billionJones Day served as antitrust and French corporate counsel in the €6.2 billion sale of Bombardier Inc.'s transportation business to Alstom S.A.
  • EDF acquires 50% of Orange ConcessionsJones Day is acting as antitrust counsel to EDF Invest on the merger control/antitrust aspects of its acquisition (together with the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) and the Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance (CNP)) of 50% of the capital and voting rights of Orange Concessions which is active in the roll out of fiber in France in less densely populated areas.
