Deshani Ellis represents corporations through all stages of high-stakes civil and criminal litigation from trial to appeal.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2021, Deshani served as a law clerk for: Judge Halil S. Ozerden of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi and Judge Mark J. Dinsmore of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
Deshani has an active pro bono and public service practice. Deshani currently serves as a mentor to underrepresented young adults through Just the Beginning – A Pipeline Organization. She immigrated from Sri Lanka and is a first generation professional.
