Maarten De Boorder focuses his practice on corporate law, advising on a wide range of Dutch and cross-border M&A, private equity, and venture capital transactions and investments, often bearing a technology angle. In addition, he advises clients on complex shareholder disputes and frequently assists them in litigating at the Dutch Enterprise Chamber. Utilizing his experience in corporate litigation, Maarten frequently advises on contested transactions. He also advises Dutch companies in investments/setting up companies in the United States (e.g. assisting Royal FrieslandCampina in setting up its joint venture with United Dairymen of Arizona).
The transactions Maarten has recently worked on include Centerbridge Partners' acquisition of Solidus Solutions from Aurelius; Gimv's leveraged buyouts of Coolworld, Snack Connection B.V., United Dutch Breweries (Oranjeboom, from Egeria), and Brakel Group (from Nordian Capital); Smile Invest's leveraged buyouts of Smart SD and Rovers Medical Services; assisting Highbrook Income Property Fund, LP in connection with the acquisition of three real estate portfolios managed by Hanzevast Capital N.V.; RPM's acquisition of Dutch coatings company SPS; and NEP Group's acquisition of Consolidated Media Industries (from Bencis Capital Partners).
