Amelia DeGory focuses her practice on appellate advocacy, civil litigation, and providing strategic advice to clients facing complex legal challenges.

Amelia has drafted briefs in federal trial and appellate courts, as well as in an international arbitration under International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules. In addition, she has helped research and draft certiorari-stage briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court. Amelia maintains an active pro bono practice and has worked with several teams to advocate for clients seeking habeas relief. She has also represented women and children seeking asylum in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Before joining Jones Day, Amelia served as a judicial law clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Before attending law school, she taught ninth grade world history in Philadelphia.
