Janet Coscino focuses on M&A, private equity, and general corporate matters for both private and public companies ranging from emerging growth companies to Fortune 100 corporations.

Janet represents buyers and sellers of cross-border businesses in various industries, including technology, manufacturing, life sciences, energy, and education. She has advised companies in a wide range of complex business transactions, including large-scale public company mergers, divisional carve-outs, venture capital investments, and middle market M&A auction acquisitions. She also regularly supports clients with commercial and governance matters, including supplier and distributor contract negotiation, business formation, and corporate restructuring.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Janet was an associate in a Michigan-based firm with a national practice where she represented private and public companies, private equity funds, and their portfolio companies in acquisitions, divestitures, secured and unsecured financing, corporate governance matters, and the organization of alternative risk financing arrangements, including captive insurance companies.
