Alex Chiang's practice focuses on intellectual property and general litigation matters.
Alex recently assisted clients in defending a high-value trade secret case and a patent infringement claim. He uses his electrical engineering background to advise companies on intellectual property-related disputes in software development and internet technology from a technical and a legal position. He also has experience in labor and cross-border contractual disputes.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Alex served as an extern in the Finance Division of the Taiwan Taipei District Court. He was also named a Google Policy Fellow.
Alex has published articles in the Georgetown Journal of International Law and the Contemporary Asia Arbitration Journal relating to World Trade Organization (WTO) laws and international arbitration. He is a member of the Taipei Bar Association.
