Ashley Chandler joined our New Lawyers Group (NLG) in 2020. The NLG provides our newest lawyers with the opportunity to gain exposure to different practice areas and lawyering styles before making a commitment to a specific practice.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Ashley worked in the international arbitration practice of Japan's largest law firm where she assisted in cross-border contractual disputes involving large Japanese corporates. Ashley is familiar with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA), and Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB) institutional rules.
Ashley also served as the associate to the Honourable Justice Martin Daubney AM of the Supreme Court of Queensland and president of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal. During this time, Ashley gained experience in various civil and public law matters and developed an in-depth understanding of the practice and procedure of several Queensland jurisdictions.
