Ashley Chandler's practice focuses on commercial litigation and international arbitration that includes experience in disputes across the energy and resources, construction, life sciences, and automotive sectors.
Ashley's recent experience includes acting for a global engineering and construction firm in a high-value dispute involving the construction of coal seam gas infrastructure before the Supreme Court of Queensland. Ashley has also worked on various commercial and post-M&A disputes administered under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA), and Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB).
Prior to joining Jones Day, Ashley worked in the international arbitration practice of Japan's largest law firm where she assisted in cross-border contractual disputes involving large Japanese corporates. Ashley also served as the associate to a Justice of the Supreme Court of Queensland and president of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, where she assisted in the management of various civil and public law disputes and gained a deep understanding of civil practice and procedure in Queensland.
