Nick Buchta joined our New Lawyers Group (NLG) in 2020. The NLG provides our newest lawyers with the opportunity to gain exposure to different practice areas and lawyering styles before making a commitment to a specific practice. Individuals in the NLG may focus on a particular area of practice, or compare practices, during their first year with Jones Day.

In law school, Nick served on the ACLU of Alaska's editing team for their Prisoners' Rights Guide. He was also voted Duke Law's Most Likely to Win Master Baker and was named the 2017 Gold Circle Award winner by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association for best sports commentary among college journalists nationally.
