Jones Day represented a syndicate of banks consisting of Belfius Bank SA/NV, BNP Paribas Fortis SA/NV, ING Belgium SA/NV, and KBC Bank NV in connection with a credit facility provided to Mediahuis, a Belgian newspaper publishing and broadcast media company, to finance the acquisition of Independent News & Media PLC, a media company located in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
