Project Bike Love obtains 501(c)(3) tax exemption

Client(s) Project Bike Love

Jones Day has spent the past several months working to formally incorporate and obtain 501(c)(3) status for Project Bike Love, a local non-profit. In July 2016, Project Bike Love received a favorable determination letter from the IRS granting them 501(c)(3) status. In addition to assisting with the preparation and filing of the 501(c)(3) application, Jones Day has assisted Project Bike Love with the filing of the necessary paperwork with the state of California to incorporate, drafted its bylaws, and attended and guided its board of directors through their first meeting. Project Bike Love supplies bikes to women in third-world countries to provide them with the freedom of transportation.
