Client granted "nunc pro tunc" asylum

Client(s) Client LDY

Our client, an immigrant from Ethiopia, was granted "nunc pro tunc" asylum status yesterday.  He already had derivative asylum status, based upon the fact that his father was previously granted asylum.  However, with the change in our client's status from "derivative asylee" to "principal asylee" he is now eligible to become a permanent resident, and will in time be eligible for citizenship.
