Our Consumer Financial Products & Services team provides regulatory counseling, advice on establishing and maintaining sound compliance programs, pre-litigation planning, and litigation representation to a variety of financial institutions, including banks, financial technology (fintech) companies, mortgage lenders and servicers, payment card issuers, vendors, and retailers.

Jones Day employs a multidisciplinary, multi-office approach to advising clients in the increasingly complex environment for delivery of consumer financial products and services. We counsel clients on the development and application of federal and state consumer financial products and services.

We counsel clients on: auto finance; bank deposit products; consumer lending; consumer products litigation; payment cards; payment systems, including mobile payments and distributed ledger technology, such as blockchain; credit reporting; debt collection practices; mortgage lending and servicing; preemption; privacy and data security; student lending and servicing; and vendor and third-party relationships.
