Brooke Schultz conducts internal investigations and defends companies and their officers and directors in civil and criminal government enforcement actions. She has significant experience counseling companies on alleged violations of anticorruption, securities, and health care laws, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and False Claims Act (FCA), and on risk management.

Brooke has defended multinational companies against civil and criminal investigations and litigation brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), various U.S. Attorneys' offices, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG), and other federal agencies. For the past six years, she has worked on the defense of an international retailer in a complex FCPA investigation conducted by the DOJ and SEC in four countries. She also has represented major public and private companies, including boards of directors and audit committees, in internal investigations on highly sensitive topics. Brooke's matters have covered issues in more than 10 countries across five continents and have spanned a variety of industries, including the retail, automotive, oil and gas, aerospace, and medical device industries.

In the area of corporate compliance, Brooke advises companies on managing risk. She has conducted M&A due diligence, designed ethics and compliance programs, and counseled companies on disclosures and compliance with anticorruption, health care, and securities laws.

Brooke has published articles on topics such as the FCPA, the FCA, and compliance and investigation best practices.
