Anna Kordas's practice focuses on chapter 11 proceedings, bankruptcy litigation, matters involving cross-border enterprises, and other bankruptcy-related matters.

Anna's recent experience includes representing the insolvency trustee of a Dutch finance vehicle of the Brazilian telecom giant Oi S.A. in a contested chapter 15 recognition proceeding; Georgia Power and other utilities in the bankruptcy proceeding of nuclear contractor Westinghouse Electric Company; and American Apparel and certain of its affiliates in their second chapter 11 case. She was also involved in the Firm's representation of Peabody Energy Corporation and Alpha Natural Resources in their restructuring proceedings. Prior to joining Jones Day, Anna was involved in representing a plan proponent in a chapter 11 case of an opera company and a Mexican airline in a chapter 15 proceeding.

Anna maintains an active pro bono practice. She is currently representing two unaccompanied immigrant children in their efforts to obtain legal status in the United States in partnership with Kids In Need of Defense (KIND).

Anna is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.
