Jones Day's Boston Office adds two partners

February 2011

The global law firm Jones Day has announced that products liability partner Dana Baiocco and health care partner Travis F. Jackson have relocated to the Boston Office.

"Dana and Travis are outstanding practitioners in their respective fields of products liability and health care.  Their arrival is another important step toward fulfilling our commitment to build a full-service law office here in Boston," said office Partner-in-Charge Traci Lovitt.

Health Care Practice leader Kevin Lyles added, "We are excited that Travis will be serving our health care clients from our new Boston Office. He is a first-rate lawyer and is on the cutting edge of the challenges facing the health care industry."

Ms. Baiocco, formerly of Jones Day's Pittsburgh Office, focuses her practice on products liability and mass tort defense litigation and on aviation litigation and counseling. She is a member of Jones Day's Product Response Team, a multidisciplinary group of Jones Day lawyers prepared to respond in recall or crisis situations. A licensed pilot, Ms. Baiocco is defense counsel for Parker Hannifin Corporation in its aviation component part product litigation and is currently defending Yamaha in its Rhino products liability litigation nationwide. In 2007, 2009, and 2010, she was named by The Legal 500 as a leading U.S. lawyer in the product liability and mass tort defense category for aerospace/aviation.

Mr. Jackson, formerly of Jones Day's Columbus Office, covers all aspects of the state and federal regulation of the health care industry in his practice, as well as tax and corporate planning for tax-exempt organizations. He has served as counsel to health systems as well as drug and device manufacturers in mergers and acquisitions and has structured joint venture relationships among health care providers. Mr. Jackson has also represented health systems in physician contracting matters, such as employment agreements, hospital-based physician agreements, and medical director agreements, and has assisted health care providers and drug and device manufacturers with fraud and abuse and Stark Law compliance.
