Vered Jona practices in the area of civil commercial litigation. Her experience has involved representing clients in contract disputes, products liability actions, indirect purchaser antitrust actions, trade secret litigation, and other complex commercial class actions. She has significant experience in all manner of motions practice and discovery, including electronic discovery.

Vered recently represented Abbott Laboratories in a pharmaceutical products liability action that was tried to a jury in federal court. After seven days of trial, the jury returned a complete defense verdict in less than three hours.

In 2010, Vered represented a major international manufacturing company as a plaintiff in a multimillion dollar breach of contract and fraud action in federal court, prevailing on a motion for summary judgment as to breach of contract liability, and successfully dismissing several counterclaims via summary judgment.

Vered also has an active pro bono practice, focused mainly on representing refugees in asylum proceedings. She recently won asylum for a young woman from Ethiopia who was persecuted on the basis of her pro-democracy activities and beliefs. Vered also has represented habeas corpus petitioners in appellate proceedings.
