Thomas Bark has acted as the principal outside lawyer on numerous M&A, private equity, and venture capital transactions in his 18 years in practice. His experience includes representing U.S. and non-U.S. clients in cross-border and joint venture transactions. He regularly represents clients in negotiated mergers and auctions for public and private companies.

Thomas has served as the lead lawyer in a wide variety of transactions, most recently representing sanofi-aventis in its acquisition of BiPar Sciences for up to $500 million, Grameen Bank in its joint venture with Banco Inbursa and Fundación Carlos Slim, Savills in its acquisition of Granite Partners, Wasserstein & Co. in the sale of 50 percent of its interest in Prism Business Media Holdings to MidOcean Partners, and Celgene Corporation in its purchase of Series C and Series D preferred shares in GlobeImmune.

The private equity funds with which Thomas has worked include Wasserstein & Co., MidOcean Partners, RLJ Funds, The Hampstead Group, and Saunders Karp & Megrue.

Thomas is a frequent speaker on director duties for The Conference Board. He is the pro bono coordinator for the Firm's New York Office and an advisor to numerous art and community-based charitable organizations.
