Thomas Bark has acted as the principal outside lawyer representing U.S. and non-U.S. clients on numerous domestic and cross-border M&A, joint venture, private equity, and venture capital transactions in his 20 years in practice. He regularly represents clients in negotiated mergers and auctions for both public and private companies.
He most recently represented ACI Worldwide in its hostile tender offer for S1 Corporation and sanofi-aventis in the sale by auction of its Dermik dermatology unit. Thomas has also represented European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS) and its subsidiaries in bids for various companies and PHNS in its sale to The Conjoin Group/Actis Funds.
Thomas has been a guest speaker on director duties for The Conference Board.
He is the pro bono coordinator for the Firm's New York Office and an advisor to numerous arts and charitable organizations. He represented Grameen Bank in its joint ventures with Banco Inbursa/Fundación Carlos Slim in Mexico and affiliates of Luis Sarmiento Angulo in Colombia.
