Greg Lanier has nearly 30 years of experience in intellectual property and complex business disputes for companies around the globe. He has handled jury and bench trials, arbitrations, injunction proceedings, and major hearings in venues throughout the United States, often in coordination with non-U.S. litigation proceedings. Greg regularly advises on IP and litigation issues arising in corporate transactions and internal investigations and has led IP enforcement efforts against competitors and departing employees. Greg also has personally handled appeals at the Federal, Fifth, and Ninth Circuits and in California's appellate courts.

Greg's broad experience has received significant recognition. He has been named by the Daily Journal as a "Top IP Lawyer" in California and selected as a "Lawyer of the Week" by The American Lawyer. Greg was described in IAM Patent 1000 2016 — The World's Leading Patent Professionals as a "globe-trotting litigator and consummate counselor." He is included in The Best Lawyers in America, recommended by The Legal 500 for patent litigation, and regularly listed in Managing IP and Super Lawyers for IP litigation.

Greg was born and raised in Silicon Valley. He is a member of the UC Hastings Foundation Board of Trustees and the Leadership Board of the College of Arts and Sciences of Santa Clara University. Greg also was an adjunct professor at UC Hastings College of the Law for several years, teaching patent litigation.
