Greg Lanier handles intellectual property and complex business litigation matters for clients based in Silicon Valley and around the globe. Greg's experience includes cases in a diverse range of technologies, from software to semiconductors, from life sciences to clinical trials. Greg also advises regarding IP issues arising in business transactions.

Greg has tried cases to juries, judges, and arbitration panels across the U.S. and has argued before a variety of federal and state appellate courts, including the Federal Circuit. Greg served as an adjunct professor at UC Hastings College of the Law, teaching patent litigation, from 2002 to 2007.

Greg is Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Silicon Valley Office. He has previously served in a variety of roles in the office, including as the litigation coordinator, administrative partner, and Intellectual Property Practice coordinator.
