Stephen Walter's practice focuses on commercial property investment and development, with extensive experience in the funding of property development and speculative funding agreements, joint ventures, partnerships and limited partnerships, retail warehouse schemes, and shopping centers. He is the head of Jones Day's Real Estate Practice in London.
Stephen's recent experience includes acting for long-standing client Arlington Business Parks Partnership in a £300 million asset for equity swap involving 17 properties and on the acquisition of Akeler Holdings S.A. for approximately £600 million. He represented Goodman International in its acquisition of Rosemound Developments for approximately £350 million and in its 50/50 joint venture with the UK Atomic Energy Authority and Science and Technology Facilities Council to acquire and develop Harwell Science Park. He also advised Arlington Securities in its establishment of a 50/50 joint venture with Unilever to develop a 100-acre site into a world-class science and research park.
