Sabine Felix has more than 20 years of experience in banking and finance matters. She represents banking clients and other financial institutions, such as Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, as lenders and corporate and institutional clients as borrowers and investors on a broad range of banking transactions, primarily acquisition finance, real estate finance, and other structured asset finance. She heads Jones Day's Banking & Finance Practice in Germany.

Sabine's recent experience also includes a number of representations of financial institutions with respect to the financing of prime commercial real estate assets in several jurisdictions as investments for German open-ended real estate funds. She also advises on other financial products, general banking, and finance matters, including banking supervision matters, and has in-depth experience in loan workouts and restructurings.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Sabine worked for another international law firm for five years and was in-house legal counsel at Eurohypo AG, the leading European mortgage bank, for three years. She was trained as a banker and worked several years for Dresdner Bank and Deutsche Bank as credit analyst and real estate finance consultant before qualifying as a lawyer.

Sabine serves as pro bono coordinator for the Frankfurt Office of Jones Day.
