Sabine Felix has more than 20 years of experience in banking and finance matters, in particular real estate finance. Sabine represents banking clients and other financial institutions, such as Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch, as lenders and corporate and institutional clients as borrowers and investors. She has worked for Strategic Value Partners on a number of commercial real estate transactions in recent years. Sabine is counsel to opportunity funds and asset managers who she assists with the structuring, financing, and management of their real estate and other investments. She heads Jones Day's Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Practices in Germany.
Sabine also has in-depth experience in the restructuring of real estate investments and workouts. She advises on general banking matters and is experienced in corporate finance, acquisition finance, and project finance.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Sabine worked for another international law firm for five years and was in-house legal counsel at Eurohypo AG, the leading European mortgage bank, for three years. Sabine was trained as a banker and worked several years for Dresdner Bank and Deutsche Bank as credit analyst and real estate finance consultant before she qualified as a lawyer.
Sabine serves as pro bono coordinator of the Frankfurt Office of Jones Day.
