Bob Kantner has been trying cases in federal and state courts for 31 years. He has tried 24 cases to a jury verdict or judicial ruling as lead trial counsel and arbitrated three other cases to an arbitral award. In addition, he has handled more than 20 preliminary injunction proceedings, 11 of which involved evidentiary hearings, as well as class action cases. Several of Bob's cases have involved international legal issues and the taking or defending of discovery abroad.

Bob has tried antitrust, business tort, contract, copyright, patent, professional liability, trademark, and other cases. Most of Bob's trials have taken place in Texas and several of those cases have been extensive. For example, he obtained a $369 million jury verdict on claims of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and misappropriation of trade secrets in a case that was tried in federal court in Sherman, Texas. He also successfully defended a major accounting firm in a three-month long jury trial in state court in Houston and has tried patent cases in the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas.

Bob's clients have included telecommunications equipment and service companies, software companies, electronic payment equipment companies, a major airline, and accounting and law firms.

Bob is active in the Dallas community. He serves as a member of the board of directors of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth and is a member of the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations. He also has served as a member of the Mayor of Dallas' International Relations Committee.
