For over 30 years, Rick Stuhan has been engaged in complex litigation, including class actions and multi-district actions, in federal and state courts nationwide.  While he focuses on products liability actions, his practice includes a broad range of commercial litigation.  In the course of his practice, Rick has had extensive experience in jury selection and jury research, including designing and conducting focus group exercises and mock trials and post-verdict debriefing.

Rick is currently involved in a Delaware Court of Chancery case on behalf of Monier, Inc., which has generated discovery on four continents and involves novel issues under Delaware's Limited Liability Corporation statute and the Hague Convention.  For nearly a quarter century, Rick has devoted a substantial portion of his practice to the defense of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in suits brought by smokers seeking to recover for illnesses attributed to smoking.  During the 1990s, Rick served as national coordinating counsel for Fruehauf Trailer Corporation.  More recently, Rick coordinated the defense of the Firm's eight hospital system clients in the charity care litigation, and he represented New England Motor Freight in several dozen lawsuits alleging that carriers conspired to fix fuel surcharges in violation of federal antitrust laws.

Rick has published extensively on jury issues, class actions, health care, and civil procedure, and he has lectured frequently on those and other issues.  Rick has been president of his community association, chaired a successful referendum campaign, served as Chairman of the Board of Womankind Maternal and Prenatal Care Center, and is active in his church.
