Jones Day's Real Estate and Property Companies Practice (RE&P) represents leading public and private real estate and property companies around the world. We offer advice on the full range of real estate investment, development, and asset management activity associated with all product markets: office, retail, multi-family residential, industrial, and hotel and hospitality properties.

Our real estate/property company clients include large public companies, such as REITS, as well as large national and regional privately-held development firms and joint ventures. Many of these clients were formed by Jones Day lawyers or have been represented by Jones Day for decades. Jones Day lawyers have long-standing personal relationships with the senior executives and owners of many of these clients, and often identify their practices with these clients. By virtue of these relationships, Jones Day lawyers often serve not only as facilitators and implementers of specific transactions, but also as business and strategic counselors with an intimate understanding of the real estate industry and of the long-term goals and business plans of our clients.

We provide services to our RE&P clients in virtually every market in which they operate. In providing these services, we draw on the skills of the real estate, construction, and environmental lawyers within Jones Day's Real Estate Practice as well as those of Jones Day lawyers in such other relevant disciplines as litigation, tax, corporate and securities, ERISA and deferred compensation, and estate planning.
