Philippe Marchiset practices intellectual property law (copyright, trademark, patents, domain names, geographical indications, and designs) and assists clients in contentious and noncontentious matters.
Philippe's litigation experience includes trademark, copyright, and unfair competition disputes before French and European (EUIPO and General Court) jurisdictions, notably in the fashion, clothing, and alcoholic beverages sectors. Philippe has been very active in defending geographical indications for wines, spirits, and agricultural foodstuff. He also has acquired significant experience in matters involving the use of family names as part of business names or trademarks.
In addition, Philippe has experience in data protection and IT matters and in advertising regulations.
Philippe is an intellectual property law lecturer at the University Sorbonne Nouvelle — Paris 3.
