Pedro A. Jiménez focuses his practice on US and cross-border restructurings, secured financings, and distressed acquisitions. He represents all of the major constituencies in both out-of-court and in-court restructurings and reorganizations, including debtors, lenders and bank groups, bondholder committees, official creditors' committees, unsecured creditors, and distressed buyers.
Pedro's out-of-court and chapter 11 debtor representations include, among others: Chrysler, Dana Corporation, Georgia Gulf, Proliance International, and Proquest. He also has represented bondholder committees and lender groups in the Calpine, Meridian Automotive Systems, Murray Energy, and Service Net Solutions restructurings.
Prior to joining Jones Day, Pedro represented the debtors in the Mirant chapter 11 case, as well as the Corporación Durango, S.A. de C.V. restructuring, which to date remains one of the largest restructurings under Mexico's new insolvency law.
Pedro is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, INSOL International, and the bars of the states of New York and Florida. He has published and lectured on cross-border insolvency matters.
