Paul Lin's practice focuses on cross-border corporate transactions, M&A/takeovers, and corporate finance. He also serves the role of outside general counsel for clients in coordinating general litigation, antitrust litigation, intellectual property litigation, and matters in other practice areas. He advises clients ranging from multinational public corporations and Chinese state-owned enterprises to medium and small privately held businesses in a broad range of industry segments, including high-tech, consumer products, infrastructure and city development, automotive, green energy, and biotech.

Paul's recent representations include advising Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. in its acquisition of a 90 percent interest in Sony Baja California from Sony Group, Image Holdings Corporation in its acquisition of InFocus Corporation, ExcelStor Great Wall Technology Limited and Shenzhen ExcelStor Technology Limited in their proposed sale to Iomega Corporation, Pan China International Holdings in project finance transactions, and Vmedia Research in financing transactions. He also represents VIZIO and AmTran Technology in a number of intellectual property litigation matters in the United States and various Asia-based clients in litigation matters.

Paul is active in the Asian American community and cross-border associations and is a member of the Committee of 100, an international, nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization that brings a Chinese American perspective to issues concerning Asian Americans and U.S.-China relations. He is a frequent speaker on cross-border M&A and has participated in forums such as the Caijing Conference in Beijing and the UCLA U.S.-China Business Law Conference in Los Angeles.
