Chicago - Federal Trade Commission Chairman Deborah Platt Majoras returned to Jones Day's
Chicago Office, where she worked as an associate, to join in its 20-Year Anniversary celebration Wednesday night. Chairman Majoras spoke of the important role of international law firms in promoting the rule of law and, ultimately, the establishment of market economies around the world.
Also speaking at the reception at the Chicago History Museum was Chicago's First Lady Maggie Daley, who acknowledged a Firm gift to the After School Matters program, which she chairs.
Partner-in-Charge
Bill Ritchie, who hosted the event along with Firm Managing Partner
Steve Brogan, said: "It was an exciting time when 12 other lawyers and I opened this office 20 years ago. I think it's fair to say we've been successful in responding to our clients' changing needs, and today we are 160 lawyers strong and well established as part of the fabric of this great city."
