Michelle Taylor has focused her practice on cross-border banking, finance, securitisation, and debt capital markets for more than 20 years. During her career, she has structured some of the highest profile, including many "first of its kind," securitisations in Asia. Michelle advises lenders, borrowers, issuers, arrangers, trustees, rating agencies, and swap providers in transactions spanning a wide range of industries such as airline, insurance, consumer credit, commercial finance, energy, and real estate.

Michelle has advised on transactions throughout the Asia-Pacific region including in China, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. In addition to her market-leading securitisation practice, she advises on bond issuances (including renminbi bonds), real estate finance, covered bonds, and general finance. Michelle's extensive experience includes the first cross-border CMBS in China, the first whole business securitisation in Malaysia, the first future flow transactions in Asia, and the first securitisations in Korea, developing the template securitisation structure, which is still used as the template for many deals today. Since 1999, she has continued to advise on numerous Korean cross-border securitisations in a wide range of assets including airline tickets, credit cards, auto loans, and mortgages.

Michelle has spoken and written widely on the Asian financial markets. She is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, the Law Society of Hong Kong, and the Professional Advisory Board of the Asian Institute of International Financial Law (AIIFL).
