Laurent Martinet specializes in corporate and commercial litigation, including enforcement procedures, claims and risk analysis, indemnification claims in the M&A context, directors and officers liability, sales and distribution regulation, product liability, and environmental health and safety.

Laurent graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies with a major in economics and finance and holds a DEA (postgraduate diploma) in general private law. He practiced for more than 10 years with Thomas & Associés (a law firm member of the Deloitte & Touche network since 1997) as a member of their mergers and acquisitions team. In 1995 he shifted his practice to litigation, concentrating on business law and the problems that arise in the acquisitions of holdings and in company restructurings. Several years later, he created the litigation department at Thomas & Associés / Deloitte & Touche, which focused on the legal risks associated with business ventures.

Laurent was elected a member of the Paris Bar Council (Conseil de l'Ordre des Avocats de Paris) on December 5, 2007. He is listed as one of the leading lawyers in commercial litigation in France in the guides Chambers Global and The Legal 500 EMEA.

Laurent is a lecturer in law and economics at the Institute of Political Studies of Paris (Sciences Po). He has written extensively on regulatory and litigation matters, such as legal risks regarding economic activities or health law. His articles have been published in Les Echos, La Tribune, and La Gazette du Palais.
