Lee Ann Russo's practice is concentrated on complex business litigation. She has extensive experience in the areas of class action, securities, and commercial litigation, with substantial trial experience before state and federal courts. She has lead counsel experience in the representation of issuers, officers and directors, and securities broker-dealers and commodity futures commission merchants, in state and federal securities and commodities fraud litigation. These matters include securities fraud class actions, shareholder derivative actions, and federal and state regulatory investigations.
Lee Ann has represented clients in multistate attorneys general investigations and litigation, including a 50-state attorneys general investigation involving consumer fraud and product safety issues. She also has significant experience in the arbitration of commercial disputes, having successfully prosecuted and defended numerous claims brought in arbitration. Representative clients in recent public matters include Abbott Laboratories, American Express Company, Bear Stearns, Bridgestone/Firestone, Great Lakes REIT, Lehman Brothers, Medco, Merrill Lynch, Standard Bank, TAP Pharmaceutical Products, and William Blair & Company.
Lee Ann is the administrative partner and pro bono coordinator for the Chicago Office of Jones Day. She is co-chair of the Leadership Council of the National Immigrant Justice Center and treasurer of the board of directors of the Public Interest Law Initiative.
