Kent Killelea has extensive experience in taxation of financial instruments and derivatives, as well as other financially-related areas. His clients have included Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley. In addition to his financial product focus, Kent is well-versed in international taxation and the taxation of partnerships and other pass-through and financial entities. Kent also has an active practice in taxation of exempt organizations and charitable giving.

Prior to joining the Firm, Kent served as legislation counsel to the Joint Committee on Taxation of the U.S. Congress, where his areas of responsibility included financial products, derivatives, partnerships, and other pass-through entities.

Kent is active in several professional and civic organizations, including serving on the board of Capitol Partners, an organization that provides private and parochial school scholarships to low-income students from the District of Columbia. Kent's current pro bono focus is Dupont Underground, an organization seeking to develop the historic streetcar station under Dupont Circle into an art and performance space.
