Recently, John has focused on coordinating Reynolds' defense in 9,000 individual smoker lawsuits filed around the state of Florida as a result of the Florida Supreme Court's decertification of the Engle class action lawsuit. Most recently, in October 2010, John was trial counsel in Willis v. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, an Engle progeny case tried to a complete defense verdict on behalf of Reynolds. John also recently obtained a summary judgment in favor of Rohm and Haas Company in a contract dispute in the Northern District of Georgia.
