Juergen Reemers focuses on acquisitions and divestitures in a cross-border context and is a frequent advisor to companies and investors from abroad making an investment in Germany. Furthermore, he negotiates joint ventures and other contractual arrangements, mostly between parties from different countries. He also assists on restructurings and on matters of corporate governance. He is the Partner-in-Charge of the Firm's Frankfurt Office.

Juergen assisted Sodexo in its acquisition of the catering and facility management business of Zehnacker. He has been advising the French postal service for many years on various parcel-business acquisitions outside of France. This included the acquisition of the DPD network in Germany and transactions in Eastern Europe, the United States, South Africa, and Asia. Other clients for which Juergen has worked on notable transactions are Eastman Chemical, France Telecom, Goodrich, Harsco, IBM, Lubrizol, sanofi-aventis, Scotts Company, Sun Capital Partners, and WL Ross & Co.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Juergen worked for several years as a New York admitted lawyer at the New York office of an international law firm and assisted German companies on acquisitions and corporate governance issues in the U.S. Juergen is a member of the supervisory boards of German subsidiaries of the French postal service and of Mine Safety Appliances Company. He is active in the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany, the German-American Lawyers' Association, and the Institute for Law and Finance of the Goethe University in Frankfurt.
