Jones Day's Peggy Cheung and Michelle Taylor honored at Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2015

Washington – The global law firm Jones Day is pleased to announce that Peggy Cheung, a partner in the Firm's Hong Kong Office, was recognized as "Best in Patent and Trade Mark Prosecution" while Michelle Taylor, also a Hong Kong Office partner, was recognized as "Outstanding Practitioner of the Year" for her services to law and advocacy of women, at the Asia Women in Business Law Awards.

The awards, held at the JW Marriott in Hong Kong and hosted by Euromoney Legal Media Group, aim to recognize the best firms for women in business law across Asia Pacific and the best private practice and in-house individual lawyers and teams.

Peggy Cheung has more than 25 years of experience in patent and trademark prosecution in the U.K. and in Hong Kong and has represented many Fortune 500 companies across a diverse range of industries, across Asia Pacific. She plays an active role in the industry, and is involved in various leadership positions across professional, public, and charitable organizations. Peggy is regularly quoted by the media and is a regular speaker on the topic of intellectual property laws at various conferences and universities. Peggy has been consistently recognized as a leading individual in her field by Chambers Asia, Legal 500, Asialaw, Managing Intellectual Property (MIP), International Who's Who, and Corporate INTL. Most recently, Peggy was recommended by Legal 500 and listed as an "IP Star" by MIP.

Michelle Taylor has more than 20 years of experience in securitization and structured finance and has been at the forefront of the Asian securitization market since 1998, structuring some of the highest profile deals in the region, and working on multiple "first" cross-border securitizations out of Asian countries. She is well respected for her role as a leading advocate of women lawyers in the industry. Michelle has been consistently recognized as a "Leading Lawyer" and a "Band 1 Lawyer" for capital markets and structured finance in Chambers Asia and Chambers Global, IFLR 1000, Asia Pacific Legal 500, and Asialaw Leading Lawyers. She was also shortlisted for the prestigious FT Most Innovative Lawyers awards in 2014 and was twice shortlisted in "Asia Women in Business Law Awards" in the category of "Structured Finance" in 2013 and 2014 by Euromoney Legal Media Group, topping the list in 2013.
